STEP NEWS RRS Pause 20241118

The STEP Economic Development Alliance (STEP) wishes to inform the public that the Rural Renewal Program will be temporarily paused for the Town of St. Paul, Town of Elk Point and County of St. Paul until March 2025. This decision has been made to allow for a thorough evaluation of ongoing changes at the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) level and their potential impact on the communities’ Rural Renewal Program’s operations and goals.

During this pause, STEP will review and assess the evolving landscape of AAIP immigration policies and procedures to ensure that the Rural Renewal Program remains effective, efficient, and aligned with the needs of our communities. We are committed to fostering sustainable growth and supporting economic development, and this evaluation period will help us better tailor our programs to meet the future demands of our employers.

We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work through this important process. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
