Do Not Spray
Learn how to opt out of roadside herbicide spraying and complete the annual Weed & Brush Control Agreement for your property.
Do Not Spray
The County recognizes that some landowners and producers prefer to manage weeds and brush without roadside herbicide application.
A Weed & Brush Control Agreement allows an owner or occupant to have County spraying avoided along the road allowance adjacent to their property while taking responsibility for controlling weeds and brush in that area themselves.

The agreement remains in effect until July 1 of that year. If you would like an extension, contact ASB staff.
Your Responsibilities
By entering into the agreement, you become responsible for keeping the roadside area between your property boundary and the centreline of the road allowance free of prohibited noxious weeds, noxious weeds, brush, and other unwanted vegetation.
If vegetation in the agreement area is not adequately controlled, the County can require corrective action and may use herbicide if necessary. A severe weed or brush problem can be treated without prior notification.
No Spray Signs
At least two No Spray signs are required for each property — one at the beginning and one at the end of the area that is not to be sprayed.
The County provides the signs at no charge. The owner or occupant is responsible for keeping them properly displayed and visible from the roadway.
Signs alone do not replace the annual Weed & Brush Control Agreement.
